Tarzan Takes Jane On A Picnic…
We thought last weekend would be a total bust because of the tropical storm, but we faired pretty well down here and actually saw the sun quite a bit! So Tarzan asked Jane, “So what would you like to do?” Jane replied, “How about a picnic?” “We can use our adorable new picnic basket, I am dying to try it out!”
Tarzan replies, “I am in the mood for potatoe salad.” Jane moans, “That is a lot of work!” Tarzan says, “Do we even have a good recipe for this salad?” Jane replies, “Yes, we have a great one that has been in our family for over 30 years!” Tarazan says, “Let me look at it.” Jane rushes off to retrieve the recipe.
After a brief inspection of the potatoe salad recipe…Tarzan says, “The recipe calls for radishes.” “I don’t like radishes.” Jane says, “You will love it in this recipe, it is one of the secret ingredients that makes it wonderful.” Tarzan replies, “Okay, I will make this!” Jane yells YIPEE and starts doing her happy dance…
Hours later…Tarzan and Jane were finally off to their picnic with big smiles on their faces! Tarzan, beating his chest for his accomplishment and Jane moaning as she tasted his manly salad, it was divine!
Tip of the Day for Bloggers/Photographers:
Jazz Up the Set for Food Photography
We all love to show our latest restaurant outing or new dish that we just tried out.
Bring in props as you plan the composition of the photo. These extras can help to create the context for the food and ultimately make the photo more interesting.
Consider one or two extra elements such as a glass, fork, flower or napkin to add to the photo.
You can also consider using a more complex background like I did, just use a high aperture to blur it, so it isn’t too distracting.
These elements can often be placed in secondary positions in the foreground or background of your shot.
If this is your first or second time visiting, we are so glad to have YOU! We would love for you to join our family here at Pride in Photos, just fill in your email and the inspirational post and tips will come right to your inbox. How fun is that.
If you haven’t met Tarzan yet, you will meet him down below in the post labeled, “Go Ahead, Tarzan.”
How have you brought summer into your life?

I love picnics – we had one today during a walk along the remains of a Roman aqueduct. And I love food photos. If my mouth is watering when I look at a dish, I can be fairly sure that it will have the same effect on others, that is why there are so many food and drink photos on my blog!
I now feel the need to go make potato salad, haha! yum
Your photo setups are amazing. Thanks for all the interesting and inspiring tidbits for great photo shoots. I read Go Ahead Tarzan and it’s hysterical. It would have cheaper to go to a five star hotel for the evening and ordered a fish dinner for two. But not as much fun.
Your photographs are amazing. How I wish I could take even half way decent photos. I was hungry just looking!
I love the vision of Tarzan beating his chest and Jane moaning over potato salad — I keep going back and reading that line — too, too hysterical!
Stunning work Tarzan and Jane, what a feast.
Thanks for linking up.
OMG that potato sald looks delish!!!!

Now I am so hungry for potato salad! Lovely…
This my second read of this post and still smile as I think about the topic.
Thank you Woolly, it makes me smile that you read it twice. Have a great evening.
I like to try and respond to bloggers who ‘like’ my posts…hence the re-read in this case. Have relatives who would not touch some of that food. As for me…..well it all looks good! As for your evening comment, I am watching the 7 AM news down and heading off to work in a few minutes. Bye!
A picnic sounds good, Laurie! The food looks delicious!
It looks Devine! What a beautiful picnic scene. Potato salad is a lot of work, but a great payoff!
