Could Someone Please Turn Down The Lights?…
I AM TRYING TO SLEEP!!
Ahnalise Grace…prefers to have the room all dark!
Every time you put a camera or a light of any kind in front of her, the scrowl appears. Of course, who can blame her, right?! A baby girl needs her shut eye.
This has not been a good couple of weeks on the home front for me. We had tickets to fly up and visit Ahana two weeks ago. The day before we were to leave, I woke up with a very sore throat and my right ear totally plugged and had loss of hearing. I was in bed for over a week, and needless to say, we had to cancel our trip….big sigh.
So here are precious girl is already one month old, and Grammie and Papaw still haven’t seen her!
Would you like to guess what kind of mood our household is in?
I am feeling better, but the virus has left me with my ears still plugged and and basically deaf. The reason I STILL can’t get on a plane and fly to see this adorable little girl.
The doctor has prescribed antibiotics for the ears, so we will see if this takes care of the situation.
Her parents told us, that Ahnalise went to her first birthday party for a friend of the family. I am sure she was a big hit at the party, wouldn’t you imagine?
Oh, why can’t they stay like this forever?….
Have a great week!

If only they could stay like this just a little longer. The teenage years come so fast it is unbelievable. Here’s hoping you’re feeling better and have new plans to visit.
So sweet and adorable! You are one lucky lady with such beautiful children and grandchildren!
Awww – so adorable!
So sorry to hear you have been sick, and hope you get to see her soon….. she is beautiful~
She’s adorable! I understand how your heart aches as you’re not able (yet) to go see her. I hope that’ll happen soon. And yes, time flies, my little one is already 9 months on Monday.
Well, first congratulations on this precious addition to your family, but dang it, so sorry you got sick and still have been able to see her. I know that feeling, I was sick over Christmas so I did not get to spend any time with my 3 month old great grandbaby. Hope you will rid yourself of those ails and are able to see her soon!!
What a disappointment for you! May you get well soon and hold that adorable little girl. Happy Valentine’s Day!
Oh, Laurie, she is absolutely the most beautiful baby! So perfect! I know you can’t wait to “meet” her. I pray you get well and can get there ASAP. A baby girl needs her Grammie, too!

Hope you feel better soon. So frustrating for you all.
Such an adorable little girl, Laurie. I’m so sorry you haven’t been well enough to travel to see your precious little Ahnalise. Get well soon, and thanks for showing her to us. π
Sorry to hear you’ve been sick. I hope you’re on the mend now and it won’t be long before you get to hold this bundle of joy. She’s beautiful. Gotta love her little hairdo! π
Awwww….What a bundle of cuteness. π
And – such a beautiful mane. God bless her.
Hope you’re feeling better soon because she’s a beauty and I know you can’t wait to hold her!
She is adorable and looks very much like her big brother. I can relate as when my grandson was born I had a virus and then pneumonia. I couldn’t see him for over six weeks and he was only a 30 minute drive away. It killed me to see photos of him on FB and not be able to have met, kiss or hug him. I feel your pain and hope you can travel soon! I’ll cross my fingers for you!
Elizabeth, I remember this happening to you. After I read your story, I thought to myself, oh I would just die if this happened to me! Smile!! Well, here I am in the same boat.
Congratulations! She is adorable. I hope your get better soon to get the next possible flight to see her π
