Make Someone Happy…

IMG_6709e
We celebrated Christmas early this year. One of the memorable gifts that we bought Little Man was a Hallmark recordable book. They will be moving very far away so soon…sigh!! Our daughter asked that we record a book, so our grandson could continue to hear our voice. Can you see the look on his face? It is wonderful to make someone happy isn’t it?

He is listening so intensely to the story of the First Christmas…IMG_6713e
Can you see his excitement building and recognizing our voice as it is being played?…

I believe this is one of the best gifts you can give a child in your life. A legacy of your voice that they can hear over and over again.

I think of both sets of grandparents who are no longer with me…what a great gift this would be to me now.

Hopefully with this wonderful idea…he will always remember his Grammie & Grandpie’s voice for a very long time.

Do you have a special child in your life that could benefit from this gift? Christmas is just around the corner…can you believe it?

Let’s make memories while we can.

  1. I am curious to find out what blog pltaofrm you have been utilizing? I’m experiencing some minor security issues with my latest website and I’d like to find something more safe. Do you have any recommendations?

  2. Oh my gosh! How cute! He has the same excited expression on his face that his Gramie used to have when she was looking through her scrapbook stickers binder! Lol. I am sad to hear they are moving. 😦

  3. Love your idea for the recordable book. I think I’ll make one for Presley for her first birthday coming up in February. Merry Christmas Girlfriend! Love ya!

  4. Love the name “Grandpie!” We also have grandchildren across the continent (and into the Pacific). Those recordable books are great! I hope they last for years. 🙂

  5. Omgosh these books are a wonderful invention! So much better than a tape player 🙂

Happy Holidays to you and your family!

  7. Laurie,
My sister just told me she did one for her grandchildren. What a super idea. Nolan will always be near you because he will always be able to hear you!!
Merry Christmas. We just arrived in Va. We’ll be in NJ tomorrow.
    Love, Annie

  8. Over the years, I’ve saved answering machine messages and voice mails in lieu of this–and oh! When you accidentally erase or the phone breaks? The worst. Hallmark gets it right–and you do, too. 🙂

  9. Love it…love it….love it!!!

  10. Fabulous idea, Laurie! My sister and her husband did this as well for a grandchild and it was a perfect gift. Your Little Man is such a cutie. It’s hard when they move away. All the very best to you this season and wishing you the happiest, healthiest New Year!
