Welcome to Pride in Photos. I am smitten with photography, it is seriously AWESOME!  Capturing a memory that you can have forever, what can compare to this?!

I am a natural light documentary/lifestyle photographer based out of Houston, Texas.  I believe in capturing the everyday authentic moments, the wonder of childhood and the love of family.  I am a mom of two grown daughters and 3 young grandchildren. I love documenting their childhood in an honest and authentic way.  I don’t direct or force my family to sit perfectly and smile, instead I choose to capture them as they are.

I also love photographing other families.  I’m not trying to create the perfect family photo for your christmas cards.  But I will give you images showing authentic moments and real connections.  Kids are messy, silly, wild, funny, emotional and full of love, my goal is to capture all of it.

Every session is unique to each family.  Together we will come up with a plan of the activities/moments/details that are special to you, to tell the story that is your family right now.  Sessions are a mix of documentary and very lightly guided posing.  Nothing is forced and we go with the flow, I capture moments as they naturally unfold.  My goal is to give you a collection of images that you and your kids can look at 50 years from now and the memories and emotions of what is like to be YOUR FAMILY right now will come flooding back.

    Thank you SOOO much for taking the time to read our blog post about the hurdles me and my family are facing during this time which was shared on Michael Lai’s blog.   60. Nice blog. I agree with your thoughts on travel photography. The vivid memories from summer trips with the family would not be so vivid without the photos captured that now remind me of what a great time we had as a family.
