Welcome To Tiny Boxwoods…
We had such an enjoyable weekend! I always hate to see Monday’s come around…but, I guess it just makes the weekends that much sweeter.
Sunday, we drove to the Montrose area of Houston and visited a very quaint restaurant called, “Tiny Boxwoods.” Check out their website!
Their mission statements: Making each and every experience a memorable one. To create food that can be enjoyed in an environment, that together create a reaction that’s contagious to all and forgotten by no one.
The statement ends with…And when in doubt, use goat cheese.
How, can you not tryout an establishment with this vision? Smile…
The only problem was…EVERYBODY else wanted to give it a go, too!
Oh, I forgot to add the best part…it was 97 degrees during this adventure!!! Sigh…
But Jane here, adores anything quaint and adorable…so we waited and waited!
Tarzan looks at Jane and says, “You REALLY want to wait in this line?” Jane smiles.
See, Tarzan could eat under a rock and would see no difference, but he knows if Jane is happy, then life is just a whole lot better.
They even have a nursery where you can browse while you wait.
Oh, did I happen to mention, that these UNBELIEVABLE drinks…White Wine Mojitos…were a slice of heaven.
Tarzan said I moaned, as I took my first swallow…Smile.
It was worth ALL the wait.
We hope you are enjoying your summer, it will be gone before you know it.

The drinks look luscious and the slogan is so funny!
Exceptional charm and ambiance along with those cute boxwoods. But, this woman never waits in a line that long – I go back on a weekend day a little before busy time. That’s one of the benefits of being retired. 🙂
White wine Mojitos, now that sounds interesting, it looks marvelous! 🙂 Wonderful place, I’d pay it a visit if it’s been on my continent, Laurie.
How refreshing those drinks must have been after the long wait in the heat.
What a lovely place and I love the handwriting on the brunch board! Beautiful!
Looks like the wait was worth it…you captured some beautiful shots of this charming place.
Love the mojitos! Could use one even if it’s only 83 F!
Looks like my kind of place!
Such lovely photos. Thanks for a delightful visit via the Grand Social

What a lovely restaurant – and great surroundings! Your pic of the wine glasses is beautiful!
I was there a couple of months ago. Too long of wait and too crowded inside. Food was good.

Those white wine mojitos look just the thing; no wonder you expressed your appreciation.
😀 😀
Laurie, your photography is beautiful! Especially the one from the outside looking in through the window.
So glad Tiny Boxwoods was worth the wait!
This looks like a great place, Laurie, and I am guessing well worth the wait! 🙂
You find the most charming places!
Where were those gorgeous mojitos when we had that temperature in Switzerland two weeks ago? Lovely place, lovely post!
I wish had known them during the last heat wave …
What a nice slice of summer 🙂
Beautiful images of a beautiful place! And must look into those wine mojitos!
I gotta try a wine mojito!!!! Looks refreshing
Nora, it is perfect for the summer heat!
There are some great little restaurants and shops in the Montrose but I have never been to this one. I am glad it was worth the wait. Lovely photos – cheers!
They even have a nursery… how special. Beautiful captures, love the shot of the White Wine Mojitos! 🙂
You found another very unique place! But where ARE Tarzan and Jane’s smiling faces … ?????
They were very sweaty…not picture ready!
Gorgeous shots. I have to remember the white wine mojito to try on one of my trips to Tiny’s. There is also one in West U. Doesn’t matter when you go … they are always busy — must mean the food is good! 🙂
I love this place in the spring and fall. Great people watching and fun place for kids too.Teresa
Yeah goat cheese and wine, count on me… 😀
Excellent captures, Laurie… 🙂
Mojitos too!
Goat cheese and white wine mimosas – oh yes, I would have waited too!
Cheers! Patience is the magic word 🙂
With that temperature the place is definitely great for White Wine Mojitos. No food just drink! Lol…
