Are You Sleeping?…

IMG_6383e

Are you getting sleepy just looking at this photo?

Little Man’s mommy is VERY sleepy! But for good reason, she is carrying Little Man’s baby sister!

It is a lot of hard work, to carry a child…you know.

Him and I were playing in the middle of the living room building Legos. He looked over and noticed mommy was sleeping.

So off he goes, and climbs on mommy and tries to cover himself up with her blanket.

Grammie saw his struggle and finished tucking him in.

Is he precious or what?

After a few minutes, he raised his head and started playing with mommy’s hair.

I looked across the room and Little Man’s mommy wasn’t the ONLY one tired.

His Aunt Ashley, who is ALSO carrying a child (which will be his cousin) couldn’t keep her eyes open either!

SO there I sat in the middle of the room, looking at my two precious daughters carrying my two new grand babies…thinking does life get any better than this?

On a side note, life has been incredibly busy for this girl.

I bought a new iMac computer this week. Oh My WORD!!!

I have been a Windows girl all my life. Can I tell you what a huge learning curve this is?????

If you have ever made the switch before, you know what a big job it is to try and transfer over everything, reinstall all your programs and on top of it….learn a new language so to speak.

The result has been frustration, but in the end I think I am going to LOVE it.

Can you believe we are in the midst of the Christmas season?

At the bottom of this blog post (email friends, you will have to come to the blog) you will see my new Christmas Fireplace Mantel.

I am in love with it, let me know what you think.

  1. Blessings abound at your house…two babies coming next year..Congratulations. Such sweet shots of your girls and your precious grandson. And yes, I love your mantle…so pretty.

  2. As always your photos are wonderful. About the computer, I made the switch to Apple and have been so glad I did. Like anything else that is new, it takes some getting used to.

  3. Your are indeed blessed this holiday season! The photos are precious. Good luck on the new computer. I don’t adjust well to computer changes either but have Husband as my IT person to help me. Your mantle is so creative and individual! Christmas is coming! Take time to enjoy the season. Cheers!

  4. You are in for a grand Christmas with this lovely family, Laurie. So precious!
And: your Christmas Fireplace Mantel is nothing but SMASHING! πŸ™‚ ❀

  5. Lovely photos and congrats! I am about to buy a new computer but it will only be going from Windows 7 to 8…. I am dreading the installation of all my programs…. could not IMAGINE transitioning from Windows to a Mac…. I’ve used both systems but I guess I am too much of a control freak to use a Mac fulltime!!!! But I will be interested to read what you think the advantages are in future posts.

  6. Oh how wonderful for you, 2 new little ones to hug and love and enjoy!! I know you must be in 7th heaven right now. Hope your holidays are filled with wonder and joy!! And I certainly don’t evny all the time spent learning a new computer system. Way too much for me!! Kudos to you!!

  7. The photos of your precious family are beyond gorgeous, Laurie. How exciting for you to be expecting two new grandchildren! I bet you can’t stop smiling. Happy weekend to you and yours. Love the Christmas fireplace mantel. πŸ™‚

  8. Wonderful news Laurie….Your both daughters at the same time!!! It is clear you are happy…Your pics show happiness, love and care…
Take a lot of care yourself as well…And enjoy this X-mas season with your loved ones!!!!

  9. So much joy in this post! well, except for the Windows to Mac change! A friend of mine who did the same participated in a few of the online classes. She said it was a hoot. Everyone over the age of 50 and clueless (her words) but fun! Good luck with that.
It truly is lovely that you will have two new babies. What will Little Man do???

  10. The Christmas mood has just about got to me, Laurie. We run faster and faster for a couple of weeks now, huh, and then slump! πŸ™‚
Love your gorgeous babes, and babes to be! πŸ™‚ When is the first due?

  11. Lovely photos of your sleeping beauty, Laurie. I love the softness of these photos. I think I am falling n love with the first two photos…
Mac is so different for Windows, to say the least. Downloading or uploading a software is not operating the same as Windows. There are many helpful instructions on the Youtube that I have been using. I still like Mac thought. I think Mac brings up the best images.

  12. Wow there must be something in the water at your place! Congrats to both of them. I’d love to get a Mac but I’m definitely afraid of making the switch.

  13. Ah … what lovely moments to capture Laurie . Think how busy you’ll be in a few months time photographing three πŸ˜‰
Gorgeous mantel decoration … not long now !

  14. These are some great photos, Laurie. I use iPhone and iPad but a Windows PC. I haven’t had the nerve to switch. But my stay-at-home job uses the Windows interface so I won’t be switching anytime soon. I’d still like to know how you like it and how it compares once you get acclimated! πŸ™‚

    • I can tell you already in some aspects it just rocks. But in others….It will take some getting used to. There is no right click on the mouse for all my shortcuts…sigh. This is killing me. But the graphics are just beautiful. Since I have the other products it only made since to use the iMac too.

  15. How precious are these!! And baby sister, yay!! I switched from PC to Mac about 9 years ago and have never looked back (but high school suddenly is SO far back!)

  16. I’m a total devotee to Apple products from design to ease of use. I adore my iPhone 6, and I’m actually going to purchase a new iMac in next few weeks. My current model is over six years old. You will become so enamored with the iMac that you’ll wander why it took you so long to switch. Have FUN.

  17. These pictures are priceless Laurie – and no I can’t believe the holidays are already here. I love your mantle. It’s very festive – take care and enjoy the season and don’t let technology get the best of you!!!

  18. I have been a Mac owner since the Mac SE. πŸ™‚ To think you are going to have three adorable grandkids to take photos of next year – wow, you’re going to be busy then too. Good thing you don’t have to buy film. πŸ™‚ Mantle is very stylish and well put together. Pretty.

  19. I have heard that the Mac is the best but don’t think I want to confuse myself any further. Just love the mantel; my favorite color.

  20. Those are sweet moments… you must be so happy to see them.

Congratulations with your new iMac. I think they are fantastic machine all around. I think once you’ve passed the transition you will like the machine even more. I am just curious to learn your reason to switch though. I am all in both camps πŸ™‚

  21. How precious, Nolan with his mommy. How exciting for all of you!!! Yes, your fireplace looks fabulous! Annie

    Sent from my iPad

  22. You will absolutely love your MAC once you get the hang of it. I made the switch on my home computer over three years ago and would never own anything but again! With a little time and patience you will be a master in no time.

Love the photos! Such an exciting time for you! πŸ™‚
