Old American Vintage Flair…
Did you all have a great Memorial weekend?
My intent was to be here and wish you all a great Memorial Day…but I had a sick husband on my hands.
Yes, Tarzan can get sick once in awhile. Jane does not like it, when Tarzan gets ill. Let’s just say, there was no pounding on his chest this weekend. Sigh…
But, look at this glorious piece of American Vintage flair.
You just don’t see many of these anymore, especially just 2 doors down from your home!
The Ford trunk is just precious.
Don’t you love when you find a little gem like this, especially when you are not even looking for it?
If that was not enough…a few doors down from the vintage car…I ran into this mammoth cactus in bloom!
I just don’t see many people having these anymore in their yards, so what a delight to stubble across this.
The blooms are adorable…
Summer is SOO fun with all of the delight it brings!
I wanted to leave you with one more eye candy for the week.
This video will have you leaning forward with your mouth hanging open and a big smile on your face.
Children are capable of doing the darnedest things…click here.
There’s nothing like a cactus to give up beautiful flowers Laurie, the trouble is they don’t last long enough. I do like the vintage Ford. 🙂
Summer does bring about fun finds, and these pictures are awesome!!
I saw the cactus blossoms too recently around Austin and had no idea they were so beautiful!
Wishing you a great weekend!
Carine…I am so glad you are back in the blogging world☺
Thank you 🙂
Beautiful photos Laurie. I love love the giant blooming cactus, it’s so pretty! Hoping Tarzan is feeling better and can join you in your adventures 🙂
Love this! Wow, awesome photos!
Adore the cactus–they are a favorite of mine. Enjoy this weekend–hope that it makes up for the last one.
I love the vintage car. The photos are beautiful.
Greetings from London.
I forgot: I hope your husband feels better. 😉
What a great old car.The sharpness and colors are stunning. This is a gem of a Ford brand. The cactus is giant and the video shows us a future conductor.
She’s really inspired with gestures and facial expression. It’s really funny to see.
Great Weekend to you.
So sorry to hear Tarzan is not feeling well. That is no fun at all for Jane. Loving your photos my friend.
Nice car. I like the little patriotic touch. Perfect for a post Memorial day feel.
Really cute video, Laurie. 🙂 I do hope that your Tarzan is recovered by now. Love your amazing images. The cactus flower is stunning. It reminds me of that old song, “The Yellow Rose of Texas.”
If that video doesn’t prove that our children watch and emulate us, then nothing will!!
hope hubby is better today!!
I hope your hubby is in a much better state, Laurie. It is never fun when someone we love gets ill. Glad to see you are enjoying all these glorious finds though.
Wow Laurie, what a fabulous car! So cool! the close-ups of the cactus blooming are incredible~hope your man is on the mend~
Hope hubby is now on the mend. Cacti blossoms are some of my favorites. That video was precious Laurie. 🙂
Great photos (but tell them to get the flag off the ground) and hope Tarzan is feeling better by now!
Love the old car !
Almost looks like a poppy flower that yellow cactus bloom!
Hope hale and good health abound once more .
Oh Laurie …that little girl .. brimming with serious talent 🙂
That Ford Model A – wow. She (pardon if that isn’t PC) is in beautiful shape! Spic and span. And yes, that is a huge bunch of prickly stuff…and I hope your husband is on the mend. I hope it was not a cold or a flu – men become wimps.
Hope Tarzan is feeling better. A look at your photos should help his spirits.
Amazing Ford and I always find cactuses very fascinating – very well captured, really enjoyed them… 🙂
Hope to Tarzan has climbed up into the trees again with Jane… 😉
I love the flowering cactus — not something I usually see…
Love the old Ford… the prickly pears you can keep… ate too many when young and sat for too long removing spines from skinning the fruit…
I hope Tarzan is feeling better! What an amazing car and cactus!
I hope Tarzan is well and didnt pass it to you. Love that vintage car and the video was priceless!!
Bravo! You just have to love this sort of thing.
