If It’s Important To You…

an-aunts-love-to-nephew-saying-goodbye

Saying goodbye is NEVER an easy thing to do!!! Someone is NOT happy!

The first photo, Little Man is watching his Aunt and Uncle give everyone goodbye hugs. Look at the expression on his face. The second photo, Aunt Ashley’s final hug to him!

They don’t get to see each other very often…so it is hard to let go. Even at an early age, they start understanding the family dynamics don’t they?!

*********************************************************************************************************************************************************

Do you remember back several months ago, I told you about a big dream we were working on?

Then…a few weeks ago, you will recall I was walking through some Severe Storm Clouds.

All of you came together to encourage me…I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A WONDERFUL COMMUNITY AS I HAVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am one very fortunate blogger!

I can FINALLY make the big announcement. Drum Roll Please…

TARZAN AND I HAVE MOVED TO THE BIG STATE OF TEXAS!!! YES, TO BE WITH LITTLE MAN!!!!!

No, more having to say goodbye!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you hear the happy dance?

We are actually living with our daughter, son-in-law and Little Man until we can find suitable housing.

But, in the meantime, I am using every moment I have available to hug on this precious child.

Can you forgive me for my long absence?

It’s been a very very long road to get here! Just to give you a morsel of this incredible long story.

Tarzan and I have been apart for six months to make this happen…sigh. BUT…

More to come…

  1. Wow, Laurie, that is such good news! I have been so worried about you these past weeks, and popped over to see if I had missed any posts and saw this! I am so glad you are happy and well and now so close to your grandson and family!

  2. Sorry I’m soooooo late in responding to your news. I could not be HAPPIER for you, Laurie!!! I’m sitting here smiling into my computer screen….enjoy your beautiful family! (Can’t wait to hear about Texas)

  3. My apologies for not being able to visit here and congratulate you sooner Laurie! I’m so very happy for you and can feel your heart sing through this announcement. Your comments on one of my posts about never giving up on your dreams and always shooting for what you want stays with me always – xo

  4. Fabulous, simply fabulous! Heartwarming photos of Little Man to illustrate a moment of truly outstanding Good News! May you find immense joy in being together again, and in your new Texas home!!! We moved to TX (Denton) ourselves a few years ago for some work opportunities, and while it meant being *farther away* from most of our family (those back in the Seattle area) and thus more goodbyes, it put us in what turns out to be an amazing, wonderful community of friends, colleagues, students, neighbors and the like that have made the move even more worthwhile than the good job that brought us here in the first place. I wish you so much delight in your new home, too!

  5. I am absolutely thrilled for you. What an adventure ahead for all of you. I’m so thankful God arranged my life so I could live with my daughter and “our” little man. They are so precious aren’t they. Stay with them as long as all of you can stand it, watching every minute of their growth is priceless.

  6. Hurrah to you for moving, and I don’t blame you one bit! It’s hard to be another state away from the baby grand. 🙂 Ours is in DC, about 11 hours by car, not long at all by plane, but we don’t get to see her enough. No sense in moving that a’way either because my son is in the military and they could have to move at any time. *sigh* Big congrats to you though, on your awesome news!!

  7. I am crying happy tears for you!! That is so awesome! Being with family is so precious! I don’t do good byes well at all, they are just too hard!! Happy Hugz sent your way! Lisa and Bear

  8. I am so relieved! I knew when we met over a year ago that this was a dream, and I’m so glad it has come true. I have to confess that I have been very worried about you, and I think I just sighed a big collective relief that your news isn’t dire! However, I’m sad that I won’t get to meet up again when we visit the in laws. Congrats on your big move and for getting to be a more present Grammie!

    Hugs~

  13. Very happy for you! We have done something similar, but our kids/grandkids are spread between the SE of the United States and the west coast. The solution? Full time RV! We get to spend some extended time with each of them that way!

  14. I’m so happy you are in the Lone Star States 🙂 No more having to say goodbye, how wonderful! You have been missed… Thank you so much for sharing the great news, Laurie!

  17. We made our cross country move so we could remain near our granddaughter. She is now a teenager. Time flies so enjoy every moment and you’ll have lots of nice memories. And, could I open a bottle of wine, grab two glasses, and share some real moving stories with you. 🙂 Here’s to happiness in the Lone Star State and you’ve been missed on the web.

Please share your thoughts...and thank you for the love!
