The Flying Cupcake…
Every time we go up north to visit our youngest daughter, it is a MUST to visit The Flying Cupcake! They describe themselves as a Vegan and Gluten Free Cupcake Wonderland. They are up to six locations now…just amazing how they have grown. The Flying Cupcake has been nominated for being one of the Top 50 Cupcake Bakery in the USA.
This time our daughter surprised us and took us to the downtown location. This was our first visit to this quaint location and it did not disappoint. Look at “Little Man” being very patient as mommy cuts him a piece of “Chocolate Snowball.”
Ashley picked out…”Red Velvet Elvis” and I myself went with “Lemon Berry Zinger.” It was so moist and mouthwatering…Seconds please!!
Normally, we all zero in on the Jumbo Cupcakes. My very favorite is “Here Comes The Bride.” BUT, we were going out for a nice dinner that evening…so we all contained ourselves. What a shame♥
Here is a great picture of one of their jumbo cupcakes. Via: The Flying Cupcake
Tip of the Day for Bloggers/Photographers:
Just starting out in the photography business?
Why not make partnerships in your local area first!
Here is an example…you could shoot a few images of their product for free.
In return, they will hang the images in their business.
Make sure to print and mat the image/images professionally with your watermark on them.
It all goes back to using your grass roots to finding business partnerships to help each other.
If this is your first or second time visiting, we would love for you to join us here at Pride in Photos. Just follow down to the bottom of the blog and fill out your email address. The inspirational tips will come straight to your inbox!
Do you have that special place you must make a visit to when traveling?

That’s a great tip! Thanks for all your visits and the like of my posts, the most recent of which is “Wet Noodles”.
I love this bakery down south. They make the best home made meat pies. I always have to have one! 🙂
I have this huge love of cup cakes. When I’m low…( I’m Bipolar) I literally hunt for the perfect cup cake. Lol it always makes me feel better. Not only do they taste good, but they look beautiful as well!.hugs Paula xxxx
Great tip yet again and one I might explore…. thank you

So precious 🙂
I enjoyed this post so much when I first got in my inbox so I’m delighted to have a second chance to say ‘hello’. The look of anticipation on your grandson’s face is priceless! So glad you caught it.
What an adorable place, Laurie…and I love your processing on these. So, so sweet!
Looks so pretty!
Now I want a Flying Cupcake, too! And the picture of “little man” waiting for a taste is adorable!
The little man didn’t want to wait any longer… Adorably face!
Gorgeous photos, Laurie! wow! I love Little Man’s face … he just can’t wait, can he?
Enjoy your week … I’m off on the bike for a week!
We visit the local cupcake place in Roanoke when I visit my Little Men. 😉 Although, the last few visits, they’ve preferred Sweet FROG, the frozen yogurt place. I think it is getting to choose ALL the toppings that wins them over! LOL! I like Fully-Relying-On-God (FROG). Pretty cool!
Your Little Man was MOST patient! So precious! blessings ~ tanna
The “attitude of the little man” is just priceless – excellent captured… 😉
These cupcakes sounds so delicious… 😉
The mesmerising wonder of a truly awesome cupcake; so beautifully captured in your first photo with little man.
the ‘little man’ is adorable, and i love that hat! 🙂 your images are so ‘sweet’, and i really like the editing you did on them! oh my, i must visit ‘the flying cupcake’, and i’ll have to take my daughter-in-law with me. she can only eat gluten free, and she will love this! i didn’t even know about it and i’m so glad you did! do let me know when you travel north again, maybe we’ll see you there, sometime! 😉 and the ‘lemon berry zinger’ sounds like one i would choose! great tips, by the way … i had thought about doing something like this at a couple of different businesses, but wasn’t sure how to go about it. thanks so much for sharing this, laurie! you have a blessed week!
What a cute little man! The cupcakes look YUMMY!. And your photo would have sold me. Have a happy week!

Love seeing that cute little grandson of yours Laurie. He is just so adorable! Those cupcakes looks delicious! Great shots as usual hon and thanks for the tips. 😀 *big hugs*
hi laurie…looks like you are having a great visit with your daughter. Love the photo of “little man”…just so patient! hmmmm…maybe i need to stop by our local cupcake joint!
Wonderful tip and oh my god your grandson in the hat is absolutely adorable!!!
What a quant looking place. Your first photo really captured the essence of the establishment.
The place looks very sweet and I am sure their cup cakes are too. However, the car door with Haley-Davidson sign on is a bit out of place for the shop.
Love cupcakes!! ‘Red Velvet Elvis’ sounds really good. (It would go with his blue suede shoes.) 🙂
Okay, maybe you should be a cupcake designer…I love the blue suede shoe idea!!!!
Love the decor, the little man’s hat, and those cupcakes look like they would send your taste buds on a heavenly trip.
Looks like a really cute shop. I always like the way cupcakes display, all iced to perfection. But I actually enjoy mine totally naked. Yep, no icing…sad I know.
Yum-O! What a great place to have a date with Little Man. We have a Flying Biscuit, but I’d rather a Flying Cupcake.
Oh – your granson is so full of cuteness! I know I’ve said that before. But – IT’S TRUE!
Look at those cheecks! That face! How he’s patiently looking & waiting on that cupcake! 🙂
RoSy, you can say it a million times and I will NEVER grow tired of hearing how cute he is♥ I adore that you love his cute face too!
Laurie, little man is so adorable! A special place I like to visit is a thrift store on the island where my Mom lives. Us girls go there together to seek out vintage treasures. I do so love an affordable treasure hunt. 🙂
Oh, yes a great vintage thrift store can get my heart a beating too.
It looks like a charming little cupcake shop. Do you know why they decided on that name? I do hope cupcakes
aren’t flying to the tables. hahaha
The chandelier is beautiful. I like the fact that they have gluten free cupcakes. I wish we had one in my town.
YUMMY … they all look delicious.
Gosh, Laurie. That photo of the cupcake looks yummy. This looks like one cool place. I love their choice of colors on the wall.
This looks like a wonderful place, Laurie, and the cupcakes sure look yummy!
I would have opted for the jumbo and skipped dinner!!! 🙂
Lisa, don’t think I didn’t think about that option☺
This sounds like such a fun and tasty place to go! Love the picture of Little Man!

oh my how delish they look and the patience of Job of your grandson!
Thank you, dear Laurie. That’s an excellent tip. And I absolutely adore the cupcakes! Blessings, my dear friend ♥
Oh so delicioso!
I adore that look on his face as he anticipates. I imagine his eyes are not bigger than the joy from the first bite. Great that they have vegan and gluten-free choices.
I love the picture of your “little man” with the cupcake! He’s deeply engaged in a serious thought….
I don’t know if I could be a cupcake photographer.
I suspect I could be a GREAT crumb photographer though!
What a cute little guy!
You are sooo naughty Laurie showing me such a mouthwatering CupCake Fancy !
Little man is so very good … would love to know what he thinking right at that moment Lol
Oh Poppy, what a treat…you called me naughty. I never get to be naughty☺
the look on Little man’s face is classic, how wonderful you were able to capture the patience, determination, unbearable waiting and excitement all in one photo! What a cute place! I wish we had a gluten free cupcake shop!

Indianapolis, IN…thanks for stopping by today Mary.
They look mouthwatering and little man seems mesmerized! Sorry to be away for awhile Laurie. We have had much on our plates here lately, and unfortunately not these gorgeous cupcakes. 🙂
Love the decor — so original. And a nice blend of old and new. But what I’d really like to try are those cupcakes! Thanks for sharing. http://ohtheplaceswesee.com
How we all love cupcakes in our home. They are just enough to satisfy the desire for cake 🙂
