Post Alley…Seattle
Quintessentially Seattle…alleys chocked full of bistros, art and shops. Oh, they even throw in a vintage item every now and then for you.
Can you find the old wringer washer in the alley?
Tip of the Day for Bloggers/Photographers:
Do you ever get in a creative rut? Get unstuck!
Last post, we talked about taking time to get off the computer.
Let’s take it another step further.
Grab a tablet and write manually on paper…you know that white stuff made from trees♥
Find a different environment outside of our home in PUBLIC.
Wouldn’t this setting at one of these bistros…free the clutter in your mind?
Find a spot in your city to let the words…thoughts…flow through YOU!
I promise you it works☺
If this is your first or second time visiting here, we would love for you to join us. Fill out your email address down in the bottom footer and the inspirational tips will come right to your inbox.
I loved that you joined me today! Thank you!
Can you believe it is the start of Memorial Day Weekend?
I will be back on Monday…
Blessings,
Laurie

My grandma had an old wringer washer in her basement, and she used it all the time. I wish we had saved it.
Love these street photos, Seattle is calling me! And I am eating up your tips for bloggers because those tips could very well be for photographers. Great stuff!
Great reminder! Definitely time to take the journal to a great people watching place and record my thoughts and observances!
Laurie, I agree about writing away from home as creative stimulus. Often I write on a notepad (I keep tucked in my purse) while I am waiting for my children as they attend music lessons. It makes waiting fun. I love the old wringer washer/planter!

I so needed to read this today! Must get out of house, even something simple like going for a walk, see some new things, let my mind run free…
Well done – love the sign!
In college I remember trying to work at the coffee shops around town and campus – but my apartment or dorm was my place. Now I love sitting in the neighborhood shop and relaxing and doing some “work” – great shots!
Excellent
I thought that machine looked familiar! We do enjoy our trips to Seattle!
Seattle is the best!
I love your processing. Have to go to Seattle one day! And yes, I do write on paper from time to time…only problem is that I can’t read it afterwards 😉
Sherry that can be so true. I have had times, when I get home and say, “what is this word I wrote?” lol!
Yeah, I see the old wringer washer – very well captured… 🙂
“Find a spot in your city to let the words – thoughts -flow through YOU”
– very well said and indeed it works… 🙂 😉
A lot of creative energy here! Wonderful photos.
What a colour place to hang. I follow these girls from Seattle called ‘Hammer Like A Girl’, they make awesome cool stuff from salvage and reuse the most unlikely stuff. You might enjoy them.
I’ve loved every one of your Seattle blogs! Makes me ache to go home – how I miss the Pacific Northwest!
Seems like a good alley to hang out.
Seattle! A lovely ‘tour’, awesome images, the best weekend to you
I love Seattle and I love this post!!!
Lots of good stuff, love the quirky signs 🙂
Here’s to a fabulous long weekend ahead, Laurie! I get Monday off too, yey!
Seattle must be a photographer’s dream!
They got a break from the rain eh?
John, I was SO blessed when I was out in Seattle!! Literally, 6 days of pure blue skies and no rain…can you believe that?
More images of a great city packed with your fascinating discoveries. Enjoy the holiday weekend.
The ‘Sisters European Sandwiches’ sign is intriguing Laurie !
Enjoy your weekend 🙂
Yes, I see the old wringer washer – only in Seattle! Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for all your support.
I have not been to Seattle so thank you for the tour. I love to write with paper and pen much more than the computer. Wonder why that is?
A special weekend; our thoughts are with you.
Seattle looks very cool!
