Thanksgiving Tablescape…

Putting together a beautiful tablescape is one of my favorite things to design. This is one of my favorite holidays, so I was wholeheartedly excited to decorate the table for Thanksgiving. It’s all about setting up a fun and festive table for those you love! Providing them a lovely and merriment ambiance that sets the mood…and to let them know how thankful you are…for them being in your life!

I love mixing and matching, so I wanted to provide a little inspiration on how I’d mixed pieces for the tabletop. Using very old pieces and some really fun elements that I found at Pier 1. Special thanks, to Felicia at our Pier 1…this girl rocks!! She is one talented lady and her excitement was such an added gift to me as I was putting this table together for the big day!

The cornucopia or horn of plenty is a symbol of abundance and nourishment, commonly a large horn-shaped container overflowing with produce, flowers, nuts, other edibles.

These fall glass beads just set the final sparkle to our table.

Did you enjoy our Thanksgiving Table this year? Maybe, you can pick up an idea or two from it for your table?

If you have any questions please ask! I am more than willing to share any information I can with you.

Remember to give thanks for everything that has been done for you. We are all very blessed.

We hope you can connect with Pride in Photography, either by Facebook or email.

Both are in the top right hand corner of this blog.

Lots of love,
Laurie

  2. Welcome! Thank you for subscribing to follow my blog. I hope you are encouraged, inspired and enjoy the photos I take of life’s events as seen through the lens of my camera. I enjoy your blog and look forward to following it as well.
    BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!

  3. Wonderfully extravagant arrangement! You must have had a beautiful day. My daughter is capable of laying out such a wonderful table, but my skills in this direction are zero. I can only admire.

  4. Wow… everything is so beautiful… Wish I had just a touch of such talent. You’re fantastic! Thanks for visiting my blog so I could find you! 😀

  5. Pier 1 is one of my favorite shopping haunts, and I spend more time and money there than anywhere else, I think! That’s a store I love to hang out in for inspiration. There are always so many beautiful things there, many of which I immediately recognize from your photos. (LOVE the way you have the wispy florals trailing out of the candlestick cum vase!) You have done a wonderful job of displaying many of those gorgeous pieces on this incredibly gorgeous table! Your cornucopia is just outstanding!!!!!!

  6. In the spirit of American Thanksgiving – thanks for participating on my meme – I also wish you and your loved ones a healthy and happy holiday season! Hope to see you again next week.

  7. Wow your GOOD! Love the whole thing. On the first photo how what program did you use to add the title and leaves? I love that too!

  8. Wow! You are truly talented! The table looks so inviting and your photos are spectacular. Love the stemmed glasses too. Have a wonderful TDay and tell everyone I said hello! Miss you, Jeri

  9. Your table looks lovely!!! Pier One has great stuff. When we were working on our Invitational a couple of years ago we did a lot of shopping there. Your napkin ring and napkin looks like one of our place settings we did.
Have a beautiful Thanksgiving with your family.
    Love, Annie

  10. Everything looks gorgeous! I like to go to Pier 1 too, it even smells good in there, lol.

I’m sure your family is going to feel very happy and loved on the holiday. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

  11. Hi Laurie – wow this is so beautiful! I love your design style! Such beautiful, warm, rich colors! I’m a BYW student too. I found your blog on the student blog roll. I’m catching up on past due BYW homework! 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving!

  12. VERY pretty! I have to “clear” my table of the overflow piles currently residing there…and then I’ll pretty it up. You have inspired me to get going so we can enjoy the prettiness during the week. I bought some crafty stuff this weekend, and have a plan…off to execute! Yours is very whimsical and full of color and sparkle. I think mine will turn out more earthy…so fun!

  13. Beautiful, Laurie! Wish we could have joined you, but will be thinking about you all! Keep eating the veggies, but it is just one day, and enjoy it!! Love to all, MOM
