Welcome To Fall…Florida Style

Extreme heat,
Monsoon rains,
Mosquitoes and Hurricanes.
Summer still.
Autumn’s call
Doesn’t reach us here at all.

But with Winter
Mild and warm,
Northerners come in a swarm!

See you soon!
Autumn’s fun
Soon enough will all be done.
When it is, From the north
Northerners will issue forth.
Enjoy Fall; When snow flies
Florida is where all hope lies!

I was fortunate enough to find a pumpkin patch here in my town. No easy feat in the deep south♥

Missing my little man…wishing he could be here sitting on the bales of hay…waving his arms at Grammie.

Well you know what is next…

just hear those sleigh bells jingling, ring ting tingling, too…. ☺
I am sorry…can’t help myself☺

Anyone wanna swap “pumpkin anything” recipes? stews, baked goods, how about stuff you cook inside a pumpkin?
It would make me feel like I am sharing a REAL fall with you…I’m all ears…your turn.

  1. Love your pumpkins, Laurie. We have a farm nearby that puts up witches and goblins and ghosts in their pumpkin patch where children and parents can roam and pick their own special pumpkin for Halloween. It’s wonderful, really. Thanks for joining Walk and Click Wednesdays!

  2. The only pumpkin patch I’ve been to so far is the one at Walmart. Not exactly the same. Love your photos — I made pumpkin bread and a pumpkin pie with frozen pumpkin from a couple of years ago. That might get you started. 🙂

  3. I love fall and wish I was coming your way for winter however. My chef son has a recipe for Pumpkin Chili you can find on You-Tube Tom’s Test Kitchen. It is delicious and healthy.

  4. I hope to be one of those snow-birders very soon…sorry, I know how some Fla folks feel about all the added congestion, but that makes your springtime all that much better, when we leave! great pumpkins…

  5. Beautiful images of the fall 🙂 my partner brought me home a ‘munchkin’ tiny cute little pumpkin tonight, I’m thinking something with roasting and garlic 😉

  6. I live in north florida–panhandle. Little less monsoon here. Sure, I’d like recipes for pumpkin! I got a email from splenda that had some good looking pumpkin treat recipes I’m considering!

  7. This is my first fall in TX and I think it’s a lot like a Florida fall. Pumpkins and gourds seem out of place in such warm weather, but we’re just going with it.

My mom feels just like you about seeing the grandbaby. I wish we could warp places.

Please share your thoughts...and thank you for the love!
