A 16th Celebration…TWO-sday Random Day #4

The day we landed in Cincinnati…was our 16th anniversary! The kids surprised us and made reservations at Jag’s Steak and Seafood Restaurant. I was VERY impressed with this establishment and of course our children…for thinking of us. The name Jag’s originated due to Mr. Allgaier’s (the owner’s) love for the Jaguar car… sleek, classy and appealing to the senses, which he also sported in years past. What is ironic about the name choice is that if Jag’s were an acronym it would stand for John Allgaier’s Great Steaks. However, once this was brought to Mr. Allgaier’s attention he would not accept the recognition, although notably suitable.

You know how I am all about the presentation and ambiance of any where I go! They offer six distinct and richly appointed dining rooms steeped in mahogany and fine art that set the scene. Now you are talking☺

Here they are my pride and joy…Our oldest daughter and her husband and of course…Little Man. Aren’t they just the Peaches Tree?

Little Man…being told we have to wait for the waitress to come and take our order.

Nolan flirting with the waitress…well to be honest…I think it was the other way around.

Here is my TWO-sday Random Picture for you! Isn’t this a great way to end the day?

First Course…I picked the arugula salad. Ingredients…arugula, feta, craisins, tomatoes, pine nuts, onion citrus vinaigrette.

Second Course…chicken marsala. Ingredients…chicken breast, marsala, mushrooms, boursin mashed potatoes, spinach. Oh SOOO yummy!

My husband chose for his Second Course…Thai Scallops lightly blacken scallops, thai chili beurre blanc jasmine rice, broccoli. I just LOVE how they molded the rice into a pyramid! Oh…the little things make me so happy.

Last, but definitely NOT least…White Chocolate Strawberry Cheesecake. Can you see how huge this is? My thighs will have to thank them later…sigh!

If you are ever in the Cincinnati area…YOU have to check them out! I promise you won’t be disappointed.

But most of all…BIG kudos to our children for providing us a great celebration!

Thank you for giving me a few of your precious moments today!

  3. Wow – what a beautiful place! I’m not a huge fish fan but those scallops look so incredibly tempting! And it goes without saying that your little grandson is gorgeous too!
