Kick Off Your Shoes…Curl Up and Enjoy!

Well today I stopped at the library in my town. It is a FANTASTIC library and I wish life gave me a little more time to stay there awhile. Sigh… I picked up these 3 books and very anxious to discover what is inside!  The first one…”A Turn in the Road” with Debbie Macomber reads…Sometimes, where you think your’re going isn’t where you end up…Does that ever sound familiar to you in your life? We have three women in this book, who are driving across America. They have their maps and their directions—but even the best-planned journey can take you to a turn in the road!  So I am very anxious to start in. I love a book where it focus’s on women and their friendships. Spectacular! “The Art of Fielding” is an instant New York TImes Bestseller! I read about this in the Sunday paper last week and it just gave it a glorious review! At Westish College,a small school on the shore of Lake Michigan, baseball star Henry Skrimshander seems destined for big-league stardom. But when a routine throw goes disatrously off course, the fates of five people are upended. The novel is warmhearted about ambition and its limits, about family and friendship and love, and about commitment-to oneself and to others. Just about everything I love to see in a novel, can’t wait to turn the first page!

This was given to me by a great friend years ago, it still sits on my bookshelf!

This little treasure was given to me by my oldest daughter when she was in medical school. I still to this day look at it every so often. Very sweet!

 I leave you with this thought…Live Well…Laugh Often…Love Much!

This weekend, do something that makes you want to “Kick Off Your Shoes!”

Have a great weekend!

  1. Hi Laurie,
    I love Debbie Macomber’s books.
Dave and I have been to Lakes Park. Quite a find.
Dave took Suzy there and she took great pictures of the wildlife and still life. She loved it.
