A Wild Place To Eat…
Before we headed to the American Idol Concert, we decided to fill our tummies. Who knew what would lay ahead of us at the huge Bank America Center in terms of long lines and food quality? We decided on The Rainforest Cafe in the Sawgrass Mills Mall. It definately was NOT a let down! Designed so clever for families, and of course photographers too☺
Each Rainforest Cafe restaurant is designed to depict some features of a rainforest, including plant growth, mist, waterfalls, animatronic robots of animals and insects. A few of the locations have a unique trait to them, In the Sawgrass Mills location…there is a jungle gym located outside the restaurant named “Cha Cha’s Adventure Area”.
The restaurants are partitioned into several rooms by means of rain curtains that fall into basins running along the tops of partition walls and booths and aquatic tanks. There is also the tradition of yelling “volcano!” when somebody orders a “volcano” sundae. Unfortunately, I was not able to witness this tradition on this visit.
The staff of Rainforest Cafe are named in accordance with the safari theme. Waiters are called Safari Guides, hosts and hostesses are Tour Guides, sales clerks are Pathfinders, bartenders are Navigators, bussers are Safari Assistants and kitchen staff are Trailblazers. Rainforest Cafe restaurants have a gift shop, where rainforest themed merchandise is sold. I loved the gift shop…the camera was snapping alot of photos!
BUT to me the stealer of the show…these crazy adorable animal bar stools!!! How cute are these???
Have you ever been to a Rainforest Cafe? Which location did you visit?
It is terrific Tuesday…be blessed.
